Domain Deletion & Auto-Renewal Policy

1. Overview

This Policy explains how domain auto‑renewal, expiration, grace periods, redemption, and deletion work when you register domains through Fair E Web Host.

Important: Timelines vary by TLD and the sponsoring registry. The details below are general guidance.

2. Auto‑Renewal

• Auto‑renew is enabled by default for most domains to prevent unintended expiration.
• Ensure your payment method is valid and billing details are current.
• If auto‑renew fails, we will notify you to update payment.

3. Expiry Notices

• We send reminder emails approximately 30 days and 7 days before expiry, and a notice after expiry, to the registrant/admin contacts on file.
• Delivery depends on accurate contact information and email deliverability.

4. Grace Periods

• Post‑Expiry Grace: Many TLDs provide a limited window (e.g., up to 0–15 days) to renew at standard rates. This is not guaranteed.
• Redemption Grace Period (RGP): After grace, domains may enter a redemption period (often up to ~30 days) with additional registry redemption fees.
• Pending Delete: After redemption, the domain typically enters a 5‑day pending delete phase and cannot be recovered.

Fees: Redemption and restore fees can be substantial and are charged in addition to renewal.

5. Auctions and Parked Pages

Expired domains may resolve to parked pages and may be listed for backorder or auction per registrar/registry practices. Recovery may still be possible during grace/redemption, subject to fees and availability.

6. Transfers Near Expiry

Outbound transfers may be restricted if the domain is expired or within certain windows. Inbound transfers generally add one year (exclusions apply). We are not responsible for lost time during transfer.

7. Customer Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate contact info and monitor renewal notices.
• Keep auto‑renew enabled or renew manually before expiry.
• Maintain a valid payment method; watch for PayPal or SmartersWeb emails regarding billing issues.
